What is the Sound of one Hand clapping?

Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Entstehen und Vergehen von subjektiven Wahrheiten und Projektionen. Auf den Drei Röhren erscheinen unterschiedliche Bilder, von denen der Betrachter auf Grund der Tonebene nicht weiß, dass es lediglich Fotografien sind. Bis zu dem Moment als sie ihre wahre Natur enthüllen und in unterschiedlichen Prozessen verbrennen, um doch nur wieder das gleiche Bild enthüllen. Die gezeigten Prozesse sind Real und stellen gleichzeitig ihren Anspruch auf das Reale in Frage.
This is a work where I am researching the arising and fading of subjective reality and projection.
On each screen, different images are simultaneously appearing, all at the edge between a moving picture (film) and photography. On one TV we see a landscape, on the other a self-portrait, and the third screen shows an almost cloudless sky moving. The three images begin to burn and reveal their true nature as a medium, only to show the same image again. The sky was only the reflection of a mirror, the selfportrait reveals the same person at the same position but alive and in realtime, the landscape burns as a staged photograph, only to show the same landscape again almost one year later.
The work was a result of a deep research in Buddhist ideas, and is inspired by the Upanishad texts about the Mantra AUM, which describes 4 different levels of consciousness.
